Kozolchyk National Law Center Welcomes Nobel Nomination

Kozolchyk National Law Center Founder and Director Boris Kozolchyk has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work addressing issues of economic justice between countries. The nomination, which was submitted by the University of Rio de la Plata, the Argentine Comparative Law Association and numerous other distinguished institutions and individuals around the world, comes as a result of a lifetime body of work on these issues.

“Dr. Kozolchyk’s commitment to economic justice around the world is an inspiration,” said Center Board of Directors Chairman Horacio Gutierrez. “My colleagues on the board and the entire team at the Center fully endorse this honor.”

Kozolchyk founded the National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade in 1992. It was recently renamed in his honor. The Center, which is affiliated with the University of Arizona as well as other leading academic institutions around the world, works on the modernization and harmonization of commercial law in the Americas, Africa, and Asia, contributing to grassroots economic progress and inclusion, SME prosperity, and the fulfillment of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals through better business laws and practices.

“Renaming the Center in Boris’ honor was fitting recognition of the work he has done here. This nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize is fitting recognition of the immense beneficial impact that work has had on nations and countless people around the world,” said Marek Dubovec, Executive Director of the Kozolchyk National Law Center.
